BBC Radio 1's premier music festival, Radio 1's Big Weekend, will once again descend for another unforgettable live celebration. Running across three days-from Friday, 23rd to Sunday, 25th May 2025-it has consistently brought the big names in music together with that of emerging talents.
Looking Back at the Successful Year of 2024
In 2024, Big Weekend has again hit the grounds of Stockwood Park in Luton-perfect for this whole color-of-the-town event. Indeed, Big Weekend did manage to balance headline acts with unexpected delights and sealed in the UK calendar, as customary.
Electric in atmosphere, eclectic in lineup-the festival has carved a name for itself with live music that is second to none. Every year it relocates to pastures anew, bringing this brilliant event closer to the homes of a growing fanbase right across the UK.
Looking Ahead to 2025
On Radio 1's Breakfast Show with Greg James this morning (January 28th), BBC Radio 1 announced that Radio 1's Big Weekend 2025 is coming to Liverpool (Sefton Park) from Friday, 23 May - Sunday, 25 May. Sam Fender has been named as the first headliner of the weekend. Also, appearing are Myles Smith, Wet Leg, Blossoms and Lola Young.
It is going to be very flamboyant indeed: a three-day weekend with performances over four stages.
