Because the majority of fans did not purchase the tickets as a result of the government's lack of support to independent festivals such as Shindig, the festival was starting to struggle even more. Many people expressed their sadness at the prospect of losing one of the UK's indie greatest successes.

However, Shindig's announcement for its return in 2025 was quite a shock. The decision to re-launch the festival was made after Shindig community voted the idea. Receiving fans’ messages and calls was indicative of how vital Shindig festival was to the consumers, and this drew an influential ticket agent's attention who got the drift of independent music shows' potentiality. Limited tier 1 tickets will go on sale in October, with early access available 48 hours before the general release.
