Solas Festival 2025

Since its inception in 2009, Solas Festival has established itself as Scotland's premier midsummer celebration, captivating audiences of all ages with a weekend-long extravaganza of music and the arts. Designed to entertain, inspire, and provoke thought, the festival offers a diverse and inclusive program that invites all people into a safe, vibrant space.

But beyond even this, the belief in something other than entertainment drives the organizers at Solas Festival to create a certain kind of dialogue and discourse around pressing issues: from stimulating debates featuring activists, writers, and thinkers across the spectra to a dazzling array of creative performances, there is literally something for everyone.

Beneath the surface, Solas Festival is deeply rooted in the belief in equality, justice, beauty, and welcome. The organization works hard at creating an event that embraces the diversity of our cultures, intolerance of prejudice, and celebrates  tolerance. Their aim is simple-to make sure everyone has an absolutely brilliant time while being treated and respected with consideration.

The core ethos of this festival really has to do with social justice. In aligning the programming for the event, Solas Festival works closely with campaigning organisations so that issues about global justice and responsibility are to the fore, which might inspire change and empower a community to take action in making a difference.

Collaboration is at the heart of Solas Festival. Though the organizers try to bring people together, it needs to be clarified that Solas Festival is an independent entity and not affiliated with "Solas," the Centre for Public Christianity. "Solas" has absolutely no connection with the views given by "Solas," its founder, and therefore Rev David Robertson either.
