From a small gathering of friends and family in 2015, Woo Fest has grown into one of the most looked-forward-to events in the calendar. This award-winning charity music festival, nestled near Upton upon Severn, has raised nearly £175,000 for St Richard's Hospice in Worcester, including more than £33,000 in 2024 alone. Every penny of the ticket sales goes to the hospice, making Woo Fest a festival with a purpose.
Line up, very varied; more original sets and popular covers of all genres. The event enjoyed every kind of performer. People flocked to a laid-back atmosphere suitable for families with many activities for the children and great grub at the Woo Fest Kitchen that sells catering for all tastes.
Indeed, its growth can be attributed to committed volunteers, time, skills, and resources thrown in, thereby making something unique. Notwithstanding the development stage the Woo Fest is undergoing, its closed structure, feeling at the gathering, somehow allows people coming along to have feelings as if meeting brothers and sisters or cousins, perhaps. So here, that bond persists-its only unifying character and essence change each subsequent year.
Every Woo Fest reaches new heights of greatness with the raft of music on offer, but equally, it's a display of generosity by its supporters. A true testament to what is achieved when people come together for a cause, making it unmissable on the calendar of many during the summer.
