Description
Wood Festival is one of the UK's most intimate and sustainable family-friendly music festivals, returning on May 16th-18th, 2025. In the heart of the Chiltern Hills at Braziers Park, near Wallingford, Oxfordshire, the entire event at Wood is powered by renewable energy-a reflection of its green credentials. Devoted to its tight-knit atmosphere and to an environmental sustainability ethic, this unique festival greets another unforgettable weekend with music, creativity, and community spirit.
What's On at Wood 2025
Aside from an amazing music lineup, the schedule of Wood Festival is packed with two days of talks and interviews and over 50 interactive workshops and activities across various spaces: the Workshop Village, the Teen Tent, and the Kids Tent. With so many different types of events on offer, there really is something to engage every age and interest at Wood.
Kindling Space
One of the highlights of Wood Festival is "Kindling," a forum to kindle ideas and revolutionary thinking, hosted by ecologist and author Hugh Warwick. A hedgehog lover and equally passionate about natural matters, Hugh has invited over the years some pretty amazing guests. Previous speakers have included folk legend Peggy Seeger; environmental and political activist George Monbiot; Guardian columnist Nell Frizzell; comedian Robin Ince from "The Infinite Monkey Cage." Kindling presents festivals-goers with the opportunity to immermur themselves in relevant environmental and cultural discourse and discussion, both formally and in relaxed, informal, conversational environments.
Fun for Kids and Teens
And family-friendly Wood Festival most definitely has a number of activities planned that will keep the kids and teenagers busy all through the weekend. In the Kids Tent, one will have children plunging head-first into creativity-from making a flute out of carrots to viewing a raucous puppet show presented by Wild Boor Ideas. The Kids' Tent has a host of art and other interactive sessions which are meant to fire the imagination and keep small brains nicely occupied.
The Teen Tent will be the venue for this action-packed weekend. Creative expression will overflow in workshops on flying yoga, creative writing, clay sculpting, and drama improvisation. Add to that a table tennis tournament with just a pinch of healthy competition. Then comes a cycle-powered silent disco and a phone charging station-just that amount of fun with ecology-teens and parents alike can peddle away to keep the music going and their phones charged.
