The Smashing Pumpkins announce huge open-air London

Sunday 10 August 2025 – The Smashing Pumpkins will headline a huge open-air show at London’s Gunnersbury Park, joined by Skunk Anansie and White Lies.

Having sold over 30 million albums in its more than 30 years, The Smashing Pumpkins is one of the most legendary yet influential alternative rock bands-they’ve earned several awards including two GRAMMY awards. A few classics from the band’s catalog, ranging from Gish (1991), Siamese Dream (1993), Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness (1995), and Adore (1998) to 2000’s Machina/The Machines of God, are from the dawn of their career. But the band just put out Machina (a sequel to Mellon Collie) and will release ATUM 2023 and Aghori Mhori Mei 2024 this year-invoking memories of the raw days when the guitar reigned supreme.

British alternative rock quartet Skunk Anansie are trailblazers. Formed in 1994, they played their first gig at London’s Splash club in March of the same year and released their debut album ‘Paranoid and Sunburnt‘ the next. Their outspoken lyrics detailing their experiences in modern Britain, alongside the band’s legendary unapologetic live performances, contributed to them becoming one of the most important bands of their generation and quickly led to global success. Announcing their return with brand new music in 2025, their new single ‘An Artist Is An Artist‘ is a witty, provocative, pulsating slice of spiky, new-wave brilliance which has been greeted with a rapturous reception from fans and critics alike. To this day they continue to play electrifying live shows across the world, showcasing an enthralling spectacle which is sure to captivate West London this August.

White Lies now join, after first reaching the charts with their No.1 debut album To Lose My Life back in 2009. The band has built up an anthemic, emotive rock reputation over six studio albums, particularly with a mix of their venues and festivals across the world where they have performed high-profile live shows.

This August 2025, a spate of exciting concerts is headed to Gunnersbury Park, the favorite outdoor venue. Among these are Khruangbin, The Libertines, PAWSA, and Martin Garrix. Last year, some of the highlights were KoRn, PJ Harvey, Peggy Gou, Tom Grennan, and FISHER.

Tickets go on sale at 10AM, Friday 14 February 2025 via Ticketmaster.
