AEG Presents are thrilled to announce the eagerly awaited lineup for The Warwick Sessions 2025 with headline performances from punk rock legends The Stranglers, chart-topping pop sensations S Club, and Manchester’s emotive rock band elbow. This monumental three-day musical extravaganza will form in St Nicholas’ Park, Warwick, right next to historic Warwick Castle on Friday 4th to Sunday 6th July 2025. Tickets are on general sale at 10am BST on Friday 18th October 2024.
Friday 4 July: The Stranglers Headline
Headlining on Friday 4 July are The Stranglers with special guests and fellow punk veterans The Skids. Celebrating 50 years of music, the band grew in stature to become one of Britain’s largest bands which evolved its sound beyond the fleeting punk period of the late 70s.
Early success came with three albums in 13 months: Rattus Norvegicus, No More Heroes, and Black and White that brought instant classics like Peaches, No More Heroes, and Walk On By into the world. The band has since hit with Golden Brown, Always The Sun, and Strange Little Girl as singles to rack up 23 Top 40 singles and 20 Top 40 albums, including the 2021 chart-topper Dark Matters.
Having celebrated their 50th anniversary in 2024, The Stranglers continue to be an incandescent force within rock, with a determination to both their origins and onward innovations.
“We can’t wait to get to Warwick and rock the walls of this historic town!” said the band.
Saturday 5 July: S Club Brings the Party
This Saturday night, one of Britain’s biggest pop bands is back: S Club. With their infectious, energetic chart-toppers such as Reach, Don’t Stop Movin’, and Never Had a Dream Come True, S Club dominated the airwaves in the early 2000s, notching up four UK No. 1 singles and a hit BBC TV show.
Off the back of their 25-year anniversary, the band went on to finish a sold-out UK & Ireland arena tour in 2023 and additional special performances in North America. The Good Times Tour lately celebrated their comprehensive back catalogue but brought new music to a new generation of fans.
With their popularity withstanding the test of time, S Club promises a night of nostalgia, high-energy performance, and feel-good anthems.
Sunday 6 July: elbow Closes Out the Weekend
The final evening of The Warwick Sessions will be headlined by one of the UK’s most cherished alternative rock groups, elbow. With their sweeping cinematic soundscapes and emotionally resonant lyrics, the group has been making celebrated music since the advent of debut album Asleep in the Back in 2001.
Mercury Prize winners, multiple Ivor Novello Award winners, and BRIT Award winners for Best British Band, elbow has enjoyed commercial success with four No. 1 albums, the most recent of which is AUDIO VERTIGO (2024). The band also left its mark on British history with First Steps, the theme song for the 2012 London Olympics.
We’re stopping off at some of the venues we’ve absolutely loved for summer ’25 and performing some we haven’t been to in a while. There’s no better feeling than settling in for the evening with old friends,” Guy Garvey, lead vocalist.
A Celebration of Music in Warwick
AEG Presents’ Chloe Pean and Rachel Lloyd said of the festival:
We are delighted to bring The Warwick Sessions to life following the success of The Castle Sessions. St Nicholas’ Park is such a great location, and with headliners in the shape of elbow, S Club and The Stranglers-and there’s still more to come-it’s shaping up to be an excellent weekend for music fans.
Councillor Ella Billiald, Warwick District Council Portfolio Holder for Arts & Economy, commented:
We are thrilled to get these great artists to come to Warwick. St Nicholas’ Park is such a lovely setting, and we hope this will bring many visitors to our town who will be able to take advantage of the town’s local amenities and businesses.
