AEG Presents are proud to announce the eagerly awaited lineup for The Warwick Sessions 2025 with headline performances from punk rock legends The Stranglers, chart-topping pop sensations S Club, and Manchester’s emotive rock band elbow. This unmissable three-day musical extravaganza will come alive in St Nicholas’ Park, Warwick, right next to historic Warwick Castle from Friday 4th to Sunday 6th July 2025. Tickets go on general sale at 10am BST on Friday 18th October 2024.
Friday 4 July: The Stranglers Take Centre Stage
On Friday 4 July, the headliner will be The Stranglers supported by fellow punk innovators The Skids. Celebrating 50 years of music, the band grew in influence to be one of Britain’s most prominent bands which evolved its style beyond the brief punk movement of the late 70s.
Early success came with three albums in 13 months: Rattus Norvegicus, No More Heroes, and Black and White, which gave the world immediate classics like Peaches, No More Heroes, and Walk On By. Over the years, the band has come up trumps with Golden Brown, Always The Sun, and Strange Little Girl as hits to reach 23 Top 40 singles and 20 Top 40 albums, including the chart-topper of 2021, Dark Matters.
Having reached their 50th anniversary in 2024, The Stranglers remain a powerful force in rock, with a commitment to both their roots and future innovations.
“We’re looking forward to coming to Warwick and rocking the walls of this historical town!” the band said.
Saturday 5 July: S Club Brings the Party
This Saturday night, one of the UK’s best-loved pop groups makes a return: S Club. With their infectious, feel-good hits such as Reach, Don’t Stop Movin’, and Never Had a Dream Come True, S Club dominated the charts in the early 2000s, notching up four UK No. 1 singles and a hit BBC TV show.
Off the back of their 25-year milestone, the group went on to perform a sold-out UK & Ireland arena tour in 2023 and subsequent special performances across North America. The Good Times Tour recently celebrated their vast back catalogue but brought new music to a new generation of fans.
With their enduring popularity, S Club promises a night full of nostalgia, high-energy performance, and feel-good anthems.
Sunday 6 July: elbow Closes the Weekend
The final night of The Warwick Sessions will be headlined by one of the UK’s most beloved alternative rock bands, elbow. Renowned for their cinematic soundscapes and emotionally resonant lyrics, the band has been making celebrated music since the release of their debut album Asleep in the Back in 2001.
Winners of the Mercury Prize, multiple Ivor Novello Awards, and the BRIT Award for Best British Band, elbow has had commercial success with four No. 1 albums, including their most recent release, AUDIO VERTIGO (2024). The band also played its part in British history with First Steps, the theme to the 2012 London Olympics.
We’re returning to some of the venues we’ve really loved for summer ’25 and going to some places we haven’t been for a while. There’s nothing quite like settling in for the evening with old friends,” said Guy Garvey, lead singer.
A Celebration of Music in Warwick
AEG Presents’ Chloe Pean and Rachel Lloyd spoke about the festival:
We are very excited to make The Warwick Sessions a reality after the popularity of The Castle Sessions. St Nicholas’ Park is a wonderful setting, and with headliners in the form of elbow, S Club and The Stranglers-and there’s more to be announced-it is going to be a great weekend for music enthusiasts.”
Councillor Ella Billiald, Portfolio Holder for Arts & Economy at Warwick District Council, said:
We look forward to welcoming these great artists to Warwick. St Nicholas’ Park provides a stunning setting, and we hope this will bring many visitors to our town who can make use of the town’s local businesses and hospitality.”
