Wide Awake Festival adds Cobrah, Fcukers, and more for 2025
Now in its fifth edition, Wide Awake Festival has established itself firmly as a pivot for the London music scene. Held in Brockwell Park, this underground-focused festival celebrates the voices of counterculture and grassroots artistry, filling an important hole in the live music calendar.
A Bold 2025 Lineup
This year’s lineup is bursting with boundary-pushing talent, bringing new names to an already crowded field. New additions include:
- COBRAH: Swedish “BDSM pop” icon mixing goth-y, club-ready beats with unapologetic queer energy. She released her debut album SUCCUBUS (2023), which gained her international recognition following singles GOOD PUSS and ICON.
- Fcukers: New York’s funkiest electronic act by the party-loving outfit, who has collaboration credits with people like Confidence Man and LCD Soundsystem. Their debut EP, Baggy$$, is essential listening for contemporary club attendees.
- Marie Davidson: The Grammy-nominated Montreal producer breaking the mold for dance music with experimental pop and soul-searching lyrics on her new album, City of Clowns.
- Nadine Shah: The Mercury-nominated singer-songwriter whose haunting mix of indie rock, jazz and political musings has been likened to PJ Harvey and Nick Cave.
- Warmduscher: London’s composer/satirist post-punk provocateurs are back after a deliriously explosive one-off 2023 performance, once more delivering their lowdown chaos and irreverent flair.
- Chanel Beads: An experimental electronic pop artist pushing the boundaries of sound.
- Gurriers: A Dublin post-punk and shoegaze act that’s getting a name for having tantalizingly scrappy energy.
